Chronic Inflammatory conditions can be supported by natural therapies including dietary and lifestyle, changes, herbal/botanical medicine, physical medicine, and nutrient therapy. For many of these conditions it is often necessary to work with a medical specialist like a Rheumatologist, Endocrinologist, or Gastroenterologist to ensure successful management. |
Chronic Inflammatory Diseases |
Inflammation is one of our innate healing responses. Without a healthy inflammatory response, it is difficult to overcome disease due to trauma and infectious agents. Sometimes inflammation becomes chronic and poorly regulated and may contribute to chronic diseases. Natural therapies bode well in helping restore function and control inflammation. This is a special interest of our practice. See below for some examples of chronic inflammatory diseases. |
Examples · IBS · Fibromyalgia · Chron’s Disease · Headaches · Ulcerative Colitis · Rheumatoid Arthritis · Osteoarthriitis · Asthma · Allergies · Autoimmune Disease · Obesity · Type II Diabetes · Chronic Back and Neck Pain |
Inflammation involves several signaling pathways in our body that are essential to survival. These pathways are especially helpful in acute illness or acute injury. When inflammation becomes chronic these pathways may be problematic. |
