Somatic Healing Series

Trauma Informed-Autononmic Nervous Informed Body Work

About

The Somatic Healing Series

Behind each of us is a nervous system constantly monitoring both our external and internal environments, regulating many of the functions that govern our health and well-being.

This is the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). When this system becomes dysregulated—due to trauma, illness, chemical sensitivities, or chronic infections—symptoms and conditions can emerge, including anxiety, depression, muscle pain, C-PTSD, insomnia, ADHD, and digestive disorders.

Dr. Rinde’s awareness of the ANS began early in life, shaped by numerous Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and later deepened by the profound grief and trauma of losing a child.

These experiences brought him face-to-face with how intimately the ANS influences our physical and emotional health.

In his personal healing journey, Dr. Rinde explored and integrated modalities such as breathwork, Corrective Exercise, Stretching, QiGong, bodywork, acupuncture, EMDR, and herbal medicine—all with the aim of restoring balance to the nervous system.

His fascination with autonomic healing led to certification in the Safe and Sound Protocol and ongoing study in vagal stimulation, heart rate variability (HRV) training, and biofeedback. These tools formed the foundation of the CV Map Journey Program. He recently lectured on the digestive connection to the autonomic nervous system.

Later, he drew upon his extensive background in physical medicine and manual therapy to develop a somatic bodywork offering—a treatment designed to promote safety and regulation through the body, supporting the restoration of autonomic balance.

What You Recieve In the Session

Each 90 minute somatic bodywork session is designed to support regulation of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)—a key system that governs our sense of safety, digestion, immune resilience, and emotional well-being. Rooted in both clinical skill and lived experience, Dr. Rinde’s sessions are a therapeutic blend of science, intuition, and deep presence.

🌿 Core Elements You’ll Receive:

1. Vagus Nerve and Nervous System Balancing
Sessions are designed to activate the parasympathetic (rest and restore) branch of the ANS. Techniques are drawn from Vagal Stimulation protocols, including cranial base releases, suboccipital decompression, and thoracoabdominal touch that calms visceral tension.

2. Gentle Manual Therapy & Physical Medicine
Utilizing Dr. Rinde’s training in osseous manipulation, Myofascial Release Technique, and Corrective Exercise, clients receive hands-on techniques that unwind structural tension, reestablish postural fluidity, and decompress chronically held areas—especially around the diaphragm, sternum, pelvis, and jaw.

3. Integrative Modalities
Each session may incorporate:

  • Vagal stimulation

  • Red Light Therapy, particularly over the abdomen and vagal pathways

  • Breath entrainment and guided breathing practices to sync the body’s rhythm

  • Biofield-based touch and subtle energy work, informed by QiGong and somatic resonance

  • Music or frequency-based therapy, chosen to support autonomic safety and theta states

  • Dry brushing and lymphatic stimulation, when indicated, to support detoxification and sensory reintegration

4. A Trauma-Informed Container
Dr. Rinde’s sessions are deeply informed by his own healing journey through complex grief and trauma, creating a safe, non-pathologizing environment. You are met with attunement, compassion, and a pace that honors your body’s timeline.

5. Personalized Integration and Aftercare
Each session closes with gentle reintegration—sometimes including HRV biofeedback suggestions, grounding herbs, or simple at-home practices to extend the work and support continued regulation.
